What is elizabeth fenn?

Elizabeth Fenn is an American historian, author, and professor at the University of Colorado Boulder. She was born on May 22, 1959, in New York City, New York. Fenn received her bachelor's degree from Duke University, her master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and her PhD from Yale University. She specializes in the history of the American West, Native American history, and the history of disease. In 2015, Fenn received the Pulitzer Prize for her book, "Encounters at the Heart of the World: A History of the Mandan People." She has also been awarded the Bancroft Prize, the Frederick Douglass Prize, and the Francis Parkman Prize for her work. Fenn is considered one of the leading experts on Native American history and continues to conduct research and publish books and articles on the subject.
